My title today comes from an event I am attending next week. Well, I guess it's not really an 'event' exactly, but it is a tour. A couple of people from my office and I will be taking a tour on Monday of a state prison. I'm kind of excited. I've never been in a prison before, save the front-offices of local, smaller prisons when I ran errands at an old job. The experience should be very cool. We all received a list of items we're not allowed to wear on Monday:
No shorts or capri pants
No white T-Shirt
No obscene or suggestive print on clothing
No visible piercings or excessive jewelry
No hats
I know this list seems rather obvious, but every time I am part of something that requires a specific dress code, I fret and fret that I am going to forget all of the rules on the day of and accidentally break each rule completely. For example, my fear is that I will show up next Monday in jean shorts, a white t-shirt with a gang symbol on it, multiple earrings in each ear and on my face and a Braves cap. I do not own any of these items at this time, so unless I go wild this weekend and lose all sense of control, I am sure my worries are okay to be put to rest.
I also used this title because it makes me giggle. I am going on a Jackson Tour. As in, part of the famous family? Yeah...
In other news...
It was Bryce Tarter in the truck that they found this week. I'm very saddened over it, but I am glad his family and friends can finally be at peace with some sort of closure. Also, Jason (my friend's younger brother) has returned home safely. That is very good news. I do not know the details, but that is okay. I'm just glad that this particular story ended well, even if Bryce's did not.
I watched a new show last night with the hubs. It is called Happy Town and it is on ABC. It reminds us somewhat of a mini-series we got into last year called Harper's Island. We're pretty stoked about it. It was definitely unusual, so we're not sure we'll like it the same, but we plan to give it another go next week and see what shakes out.
What else can I ramble about? I don't have too much to say, really, so I suppose I will sign off!
