Pulled Pork and Blu Rays

I'm very happy with myself. Last night, I was able to go to sleep before 12:30am. In fact, the last hour of my day was spent in bed reading, so teeeechnically I was in bed before midnight! I woke up at 10 this morning, too, so I'm feeling much better. Let's keep this up, Sarah!

Drew has a half-day from work today, meaning he gets off at noon instead of after 4. We are going to have a BBQ lunch together and watch a good Blu Ray movie. I'm very excited. I like when we're both home together at unusual times....it's like we're breaking the rules or something.

The next couple of days are going to be very busy. Again, I can't say why just yet, but next week I will be sure to explain! I may not blog until then....as if I need to warn anyone, HA.

I really want to get my hair trimmed, but I'm terrified to do so. The last time I did, I wanted JUST a trim. I went to a new person/salon because the plan was to be so simplistic and my regular stylist was unavailable. WELL, that was a mistake. The new person was in some sort of massive hurry that evening and opted to RAZOR my hair instead of wash it and trim the ends. I ended up with much thinner hair. This angered me greatly because I typically have such thick hair and was not prepared for this outcome. Sure, I got over it....it's just hair after all....but I am now very hesitant to have anyone even touch me. I would like to go to the lady my mom sees, but she tends to be more on the expensive side. It's doable, I'm just not sure I want to yet. Maybe after the 1st.

Speaking of the 1st, I keep telling everyone 2010 is going to be a great year. 2009 was great in its first half, but this last 6 months have been iffy for me. I'd like to see 2010 bring in a lot of new things. New, wonderful things. I'm not sure what I mean by that, but I just hope I'm proven right in my assumption. This will be my 6th time ringing in the new year with Drew. I think that's kinda neat. Even with a short split-up in our dating history, we can say we've spent six consecutive Christmases and New Years together. That's pretty amazing. We do not have plans currently (usually we don't) but maybe something will come up.

I'm off to get dressed so I can go to grab a movie! Today is a gorgeous day.....a huge improvement over this week of dreary days. I hope this weekend brings in good weather, too!
